    No chance of automatic promotion

I hope I'm wrong but I think we may even struggle for top 6

Villa have done some decent business today and have an experienced manager whos done it before
Leeds and Boro both looking good
Forest splashing the cash so should be in the mix, they looked very dangerous against us
Derby may improve esp once Frank finds his feet, I get the feeling that the owners will back him in Jan and he may be able to swing some decent loan doals
I can see Swansea improving and theres always a couple of lesser fancied clubs that goes on a run, Brenford / Blades etc

Really need a convincing win this weekend and to be more dynamic and pacey.

There were/are some who were concerned we would do a Sunderland and be relegated again this season and although I did not agree with those thoughts we are having a stttering start to the season. I never really thought we would be up there looking at automatic promotion. If I was optomistic, a playoff place might be achievable, but now, after the lack of business, I think that is unlikely.

The club does seem to drag its feet with its transfer business. I am not convinced it has the backbone it once had, dare I say it, when we had a certain man at the helm.

All of that said, there is nothing like a bit of hope. Well a lot of hope really, who knows eh!

Clearly it’s early days, but you make good observations BS buddy. I, like you, had higher expectations and, whilst there have only been a few games, we do not yet seem to have settled into a playing style - indeed I’m not convinced with the formation. Bartley is still worrying me, but I’m prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt...just!
Nevertheless, I’m ever positive and hoping that we may start a decent run.
PLEASE let us beat Stoke. (A draw I suspect)
