    Great days in the 60s
Is one of the Wednesday players Bronco Lane, who was later banned for life for match fixing.

    I was at both games.
The Cobblers game was on Friday night, because they shared the Ground with Northants CC, who were playing on the Saturday. I feigned sickness Fri lunchtime from School, and got the Throstle Club coach. We actually went Top of the League that night. Happy Days.

Not sure about Bronco Lane - I thought he had dark hair, and he didn't wear no.4 - he played Centre Forward.

Think you are right about Bronco Lane, his name just popped into my head with Wednesday and Everton match fixing in the 60s.
The pictures of the crowd makes me feel old, no replica shirts and men wearing ties, flat caps.
