    Horses for courses.

IMO you have a manager used to achieving via a handsome transfer kitty every window. I don't think he is suitable for the job at your club under the current owner.

I think you need a manager that does relatively well on modest budgets.

    Just my opinion.

Thanks for your thoughts, they are as ever appreciated.

Most of us would rather keep Rafa though.

Even with limited budget he got us promoted as champions from the Champ and had us finish 10th last season, hardly the sign of a coach that needs a big budget every season.

Think you need to do your homework before making a comment like that. You do know the manager we have now has a profit of around 50m on transfers since he came, don't you?

There’ll be something about spending £80m to get out the Championship when it was actually £63/64m but we funded that with £75m from selling Sissy, Wijnaldum, Townsend and Janmatt and most were £5m purchases, Yedlin, Clark, Sels, Hayden, Murphy,Diame, Hanley. 4 of the 8 are still playing for us and that shows whe have hardly moved forward.

So...it wouldn't be madness to turn against him....which is what you posted on your own forum after chatting with some Newcastle supporters who had?

Anyone would think you'd pitched up here after a defeat to take the piss....

Doesn't matter that the money he spent was earnt through sales.. 80m is a phenomenal budget at championship level!

I posted that a while back now. I've had a rethink.
