    Widening Local support

I do not get to see many home games but when I do go it strikes me that there is a general absence of Asian/coloured supporters. In the local area there are many people from Pakistan/Bangladesh etc.I know that,in the main, they love their cricket but it would be nice to see a few more of them supporting their local Premier League football club.

I once wrote a book "How to enlarge the circle of your friends" but i got arrested.

    So enough of that.

I think we have a few promising Asians on our books. I really hope that at least one of them establish themselves in our first team.
I think it would really kick start more interest in our club from the local Asian community.

The real problem with Asians and football is every time they get a corner, they open a bloody shop!

It seems the best BFC can do is make a minute and a half video with a title of One Club For All, with a few clips of non British folk

You should not use the term coloured. We are all coloured even if we are white European. You would have been better off saying ethnic which is much more appropriate and politically correct at the same time. We are all aware of what you are trying to say but next time use the correct description ! I don’t want Clarets fans on here being labelled as racist. You could also try to encourage more white European football fans to get down to the Turf. The principle is the same.

I think Barrie was just speaking his mind Malwayne, I'm sure he is not racist because of his content in his initial opening post, and I see your point and welcome it, but for me too many people are jumping on the racist card at every opportunity, I'm not racist at all but believe the PC brigade have gone too far in stating certain things we can and cannot say.

And I cannot endorse your comments any more than to say you are absolutely right.

I despise the PC brigade more than you could know.

There is a fine line between racially discriminating and saying your mind--I get that.

But to be told what to say what not to say how you should feel and never to utter any comment for fear of being labeled "racially biased"or a "misogynist" is just plain nuts.

By the way, what is a female misogynist called???

Yes, we are all coloured some white and some not.

But if a white man generalizes and refers to people who are "Coloured" it generally means "not white".

    So what?

I never saw Robinson's "golliwog" as racial-I never viewed the golliwog in any other light than it was a logo.

I never saw the "Black and White Minstrels" as anything other than good singers and I never saw "Black Face" as anything more than make-up.

    Enter the PC idiots.
