    Come January

I wrote yesterday that I though that I thought that we are strong enough at the back now. Maybe even strong enough to let Ajayi go. It hasn't been since Swails and Macca that we have had such a talented, strong and commited defence.
Let's look at what we've got with our own players first.

Jones - a terrific signing but his fitness is a concern.
Mattock - he's grown up this season having beter players around him
Ajayi - what a great signing. His commitment to the club is paying off in spade and he's been a pleassure to watch.
Robertson - Wow! What a find. Another player spotted with potential that is coming good.
Woods - Just how good has he been since Brentford. Brilliant Captain that we miss in the oppositions box.
Onariase - A step too far for him according to Warne. A bit strange that Warne is giving up on him before trying him.

Raggett - A good solid loan signing that has improved the side and allowed us to play Ajayi in midfield.
Vyner - Good replacement for Jones and I think that he's a really good player who's used as a scapegoat at times.

If Ajayi does go or any other player for that matter I do hope that it is early in the transfer window. As a club we need that certainty of being not left scouting about for anyone to fill a giant hole left by anyone.

After this defence we have a miss match midfield that is too packed with runners. This is where I would like to see improved by a playmaker. It is a shame that Potter has been injured but then again would bhe have be up to the step up to this level?

A pity about the injury to Potter, but he will be 34 years old in a few weeks time . We would have needed a replacement anyway.

Enquired about potter yesterday. Tbh we will be lucky to see him play for the millers again..
As mentioned still need that sitting midfielder though I'm not keen on making ajayi the one. It's a bit like playing vaulks at CB/RB. As a 1 off its ok
