How does this person keep a job as a journalist, given the standard of his output?
Here's today's example
What are we supposed to make of: "Asked for an assessment on his own contribution this season, Thomas said he would stand blame the instability in the dugout which has seen Kevin Nolan and Harry Kewell lose their jobs as Notts managers already this season."
Or let's play Spot The Missing Word: "Earlier this week, midfielder Tom Crawford revealed how the former AFC Wimbledon is loved in the dressing room for his down to earth character."
It's bad enough that he can't find anything better than the same old claptrap, week in, week out, but then he apparently can't even be bothered to review a 500-word article before it goes to print.
Well, 51 Magpie there are many stops along the way between writing and publishing. People like copy editors are involved. And because the industry is being stripped down to reduce margins, journos no longer have the time necessary to do a thorough check.
Your outburst shows only that you know nothing about journalism in the current climate. On the other hand, you just might be right
Scoop Curtis hasn’t managed an exclusive for several years now, he just copies and paste what Alan hardy puts on Twitter so that explains why he’s not been quite of late
Why do you even bother reading his output then? You obviously get nothing from it.
A link on the BBC News website says:
'Local pair quizzed over Gatwick drones.'
Imagine my disgust and dismay on clicking on the link to learn they're from Crawley! How is that local? I live in Nottingham!
Bleddy lazy journalists, they'll be the first against the wall come the revolution.![]()
