    The ref never saw it. He was already playing an advantage and had his back to it. The Lino gave it. As soon as I saw him flagging I said he would be sent off. The player got him sent off ultimately.

    How can the assistant possibly see weather J Rod deliberately stamped on the player he is on the wrong side of the player to see what sort of contact had been made the referee has the best view and plays advantage.

    He was playing advantage for an earlier foul not the alleged stamp.

    If there is any justice the red card will be rescinded. There was absolutely no intent on Rodrigues' part and the reaction of the player got him sent off. If anybody should be punished it should be him, I can't remember his name, as he was at it all the match. As you say salt, how could the lino see as he was the wrong side of the incident. Poor from the officials all round!
