    A Decent transfer window...

Seems like some exciting players there. I’m reading up on their background, but we have undoubtedly strengthened our squad and therefore improved our promotion chances.

Good to see some positivity !

February will be a massive month for us and may well establish our chances of an automatic place.

Well I moaned on an earlier thread that we always messed about and then made excuses why this and that did not happen but we are ok and move on, but fair play to Albion, I stand corrected. Three players in, and areas we need strengthening in to boot. Here's hoping the three signings are inspired and do the business.

I agree Prando, a better window than i expected, don't forget Holgate who we signed earlier. Pleased with his signing and Murphy and Johansen, Montero not so sure about due to lack of game time.

Working on previous history we should have them fit and available for the last match in May.

The reason Peace and Lai keep getting away with things is because too many of our great fans are so easily pleased.

Not one player of proven Prem quality signed and yet everyone is raving about “The Kings new clothes”.

A better window than it could’ve been but not enough to cause me a premature ejaculation!

Tell me Mick can you name 1, just 1 Championship club who has done more in this TW?

You're right of course some of us are easily pleased. Others however are NEVER pleased.

I'm very happy to be in the half full brigade. Hate to be where some on here are!

Lets face it we hit the jackpot when we signed Barnes. We got lucky and his absence is a major blow, and to be honest quite impossible for us to replace.
Sack off, and the Scotsman was no loss.

    But all in all
Holgate is a real improvement on our RHS, a great signing and a quality player.
The lad from Fulham has already demonstrated great ability in a promotion winning side last year and is a good addition in my opinion.
Montero has given us the run around in the past and he has to be better than Sack off XXXX
Murphy is very much in demand and I’m glad we got him. Personally if he is half as good as Barnes I will be happy. I do believe his is a bit low in confidence and so let’s give him time to settle.

So have we improved? In my opinion YES most definitely.

Fairly pleased with our squad plus new additions, Montero is the only let down here. Reading up on him he's very injury prone and very hit and miss performance wise. Reading about him reminded me very much of sessignon. We all loved the guy but waited far too long to see anything from him. Hopefully I will be proved wrong. The big plus is that with so many matches we will have key injuries and our replacements were pretty poor. We now have some good options.

All in all a good transfer window IMO.

Holgate is a class player and we needed strengthening in that position.

Johansen was good at Fulham, Murphy a promising youngster, and the question mark maybe, Montero - but, on his day he cause havoc to any defence. Hope Montero stays fit and has many ”days of his”.
