    Substitutions again...outmanoeuvred??

I’ve been critical in the past of DM’s lack of substitutions (other than emergency / injury needs)
Today he was more proactive. Putin’s subs seemed to move another striker into action, whereas we seemed to replace like with like...and presumably a gesture to give Brunty his 400 ? Costly !

Agree with you Prando, but a relic like Brunt is no like for like with an energetic Field! Livermore also looked rusty - what the f uck - he's on 40/50 grand a week and rested for the last 4 games so should have been running around like a greyhound!

PS - like for like is Brunt, HRK and Bartley ( all crap ) Any fast thinking manager would have introduced Montero for some pace and to try and ensure 3 points!!

Understood baggieal buddy. I think I’m prepared to forgive his inexperience in this regard as clearly he has attributes in other areas.
Brunt was indeed a strange choice from the bench? I wonder whether the 400 match item had some bearing? Maybe an illustration of DM’s team priority over hard choices?
Could it be that DM is essentially a very nice guy and finds it difficult to make some personnel decisions ?

Brunty made a mistake that's life we all make them. Thought we was the better team some games go like this. thought the ref was poor, not an excuse we lost because we gifted them the goals. Just glad we no longer after watch the Pullis game every week.

I was not at the game but it sounds very much like normal service has been resumed as far as Mr Pulis is concerned. We’ve all seen this before and the stats prove it again
We had 67 % of the play,
We had 8 corners more than them and more shots on goal and on target.
They committed almost 4 times as many fouls than us. A staggering 21 and 4 Yellow cards

Honestly … when he comes to our place he could put 10 dustbins out and still win.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing but under normal circumstances replacing an aging midfielder and a youngster with two experienced players would sound like a good plan to see the game out . Also adding some pace up front when even a Pulis side must come forward also sounds like a decent plan.

Personally I’m NOT going to dwell on this result.

TP has always been BAD news for us

I was surprised to see Field start to be honest Prando, he still seems lightweight but as mentioned he has energy. Could do with a cross of the two players to give us one decent one but that aint gonna happen. (Brunt/Field)

Also looked as if he'd put on about a stone in weight

Brunt has took the Flack but SJ should have called and came for the ball
