    Team vs Burnley

Same team that started and played so well on Saturday (although I'd be tempted to switch Schar for Fernandez as i think he's a better defender and we're going to face two strikers in excellent form). Plus, we won't get as many chances so we'll have to be more clinical. Burnley finished 7th last season and are beginning to show the form that got them there. Well done to their board for sticking with him...their early results may have seen other clubs get rid.

    ...........................Dubravka............... ..........

    .............Schar .......Lascelles.........Lejeune.......

    Yedlin............................................ ....Ritxchie

    .....................Longstaff.....Hayden......... .........

    .....Perez................................Almiron. .......

    ..................Rondon...................

I'd keep the same squad and like you said probably bring in Fernandez for that extra defensive quality but i have a feeling Rafa might rotate a few players with s having 3 games in a week.

Is Shelvey injured or is he simply completely out of Rafa’s plans?

Still injured, Hughie. He was saying just the other week that he hasn't kicked a ball in 6 weeks in an effort to get properly over his injury. If it was a choice of him, Longstaff, Ki, Hayden and Diame in central midfield, I'd be wondering which of the others to play alongside Longstaff. I'd probably opt for Ki over Hayden because, even though Hayden's been ok, he doesn't really offer anything and I think Ki has that little bit more about him. Diame is like the midfield version of Lascelles...absolutely shocking with the ball at his feet.

I don't think Shelvey is injured i remember rafa saying in the presser last week he just wasn't picked for the squad.

I see. I do think he'll still one of the best midfielders we have, but certainly also has his flaws. Thanks for the update, haven't had the time to get updated recently.

What a weird decision Yedlin was great on saturday, and yet again Muto gets ignored for a donkey on the bench but of course rafa rambles on he is working hard in training, not hard enough to get ahead of the worst striker in the premier league though and whats happened to barecca why bother signing players and then never bother giving them any game time

Mind, I trust Rafa's decision making over yours or mine!

There must be something in the way Burnley play that means Yedlin bombing up the wing would leave us too exposed.
