    A tragic tale.

Yesterday my niece's husband was coming back from work on the M1. His work mate and son were following behind in their van. My niece's husband rang his mate handsfree, to say he got to get off at this junction to to some fuel. When he tried to rejoin the motorway 1o minutes later the junction was closed.
When he went to work this morning, he heard the the tragic news his work mate aged 50 had been killed and his son was injured. A HGV joining the M1 at that junction, had hit his van.

    Very sad news.

A mate of mine’s brother dropped his sandwich whilst driving his van, bent down to pick it up and was wiped out by a juggernaut.

    Life hangs by a thread.

Driving standards on our roads just lately are appalling. Wild rude careless driving, abruptly stopping, not signalling especially at roundabouts, cutting up the car in front, jumping red lights, not stopping at zebras etc I see this sort of stuff every single day round these parts. It just surprises me that somehow I still get home unscathed. Only yesterday an old geezer pulls out in front of me at an island without looking to his right and my cars autonomous braking system kicked in. The bloke never even acknowledged his error and just carried on oblivious to the mayhem he could have caused.
