    Bit of a moan

I know this seems a bit churlish after yesterday's result and the fact that we are back in charge of our own destiny and don't get me wrong it's all great guns, but a couple of things that trouble me after yesterday - hitting the target and set pieces. On the first, not sure how many of you pay much attention to the pre match warm ups, but yesterday was the same as against Sheff Utd; Harrison couldn't hit the proverbial cow's ar5e - shanks every shot past the left hand side of the post, that's two warm ups where he hasn't hit the back of the net and Bamford doesn't seem to want to put his laces through it. I mean what are they doing all week for goodness sake? warm ups don't matter I hear you say, but Harrison missed a sitter that might have gotten us a point against the Blades and Bamford missed a hatful at Reading and well, the penalty yesterday....say no more.
Secondly, set pieces, I know Bielsa opts for the 'sort it out yourselves' approach but why on earth was Bamford allowed to take the penalty (see above!) ahead of Pablo? and then worse still in the second half we had a great free kick just outside the box, perfect for Douglas or even Pablo, but who takes it, Bamford....ends up in the North Stand. The only reason I'd accept Douglas didn't take it is that he might have picked up his injury by then, but otherwise he's a free kick specialist ffs.
This isn't a Bamford knocking post, he's played his part and wasn't at the races yesterday, but I'm glad Roofe is fit again!

Agree 100% on Pablo and I didn't take your post as a knock on bamford.

Just common sense to have pablo take most set pieces and any penalties (as rare as they are for us).

I do think this is one items that's clarified before the game in the locker room. Any penalties and set pieces within 25 yards of the goal are Pablos'.

we may as well put Harrison back as sweep on the set plays. He's got a bad case of the yips. had a good game yesterday but still missed one.

Just wish we could get every player 'on song' for every game. Seems like in a lot of games, 2 or 3 players are being carried by the rest. And these players vary, one match someone is dross but in the next, then he is a hero.
Dunno the answer, but we're second and I'd take that.

Second at this stage in the season is wonderful, but....

Cooper needs to get his sh1t together

Jansson need to be less hostrionic and more rock

Set pieces need to be given to those who can deliver (NOT Bamford)

Every player in the 1st team squad needs to examine whether.the deserve their position.

    Other than that, happy days!😉

Sorry Spaldy but I don't agree Harrison had a good game at all. His 'efforts' to prevent the 1st goal were pathetic. He didn't jump to try to head the ball then he put a toe in and turned his back on the cross from which they scored. He did well to back heel one and keep it in play for one of the goals but that was after he'd passed it to them who didn't clear it. I remember a cross in the 1st half that was on his so-called good foot, it was a feeble attempt and didn't get past the 1st defender. Better players sitting on the bench, Shackleton, Clarke etc who could be fitted in somewhere. I've said for a long time, we start with 10 men every time Harrison starts.

Bamford just didn't look interested, maybe he's a bottler and hasn't the b a lls for a scrap. Apart from the penalty miss he was anonymous the whole game.

Wasn't the worst (Cooper/Bamford) or best player (Pablo), Roberts is improving well, and am glad Kiko only misses 1 match

I don't like Bamford - generally. Maybe he'll score a few (more) soon, but I'll not be betting on it. There.

Think Bamford is okay but don’t think he naturally adapts to Bielsaball and it’s high intensity - espmwhen we don’t have the ball.

He is far better than some of the recent “talent” we have had up front in recent seasons though

Back in August after Bolton league cup win, i said bamfordcdid not have good enough technique. Have you noticed Bamford has not headed a shot on goal let alone a goal? Also he hasnt been part of any breakaway goals?

If Harrison could finish he'd have 10+ this season with the amount of chances hes had.

Bamford looks short on confidence, he was abysmal during the Milwall game and that penalty summed his performance up just weak with no intent straight down the middle, a confident player smashes that down the middle and doesnt give the keeper a chance.

In all honesty if our team just took chances at the same rate other teams do we'd be 10 points better off, the amount of games we've lost 1-0 or 2-1 but had x10 chances and given the opposition one has been our down fall.
