    Our players on loan

Would you have any of them back? (I know it's a moot point as they're coming back regardless )

Saivet...probably not although if someone had asked the same question about Hayden 12 months ago I would have said the same. Rafa's managed to get a tune out of him so...?

Dwight Gayle...Chimpo level. I'd be really disappointed to see him back here as he's simply not good enough at this level. Needs far, far too many chances to score and you just don't get many in the Prem compared to the level he's at now.

Jacob Murphy....a failed buy, imo. Every manager buys a pup now and again and I think Murphy's one of Rafa's. Maybe Norwich would buy him back?

Rolando Aarons...might be a bit harsh on him but he's a bit Ranger-lite? Flashes of talent but better known for off the field troubles. I'd shift him on.

    Achraf Lazaar...erm...no thanks,

Jack Colback...did I hear somewhere that he actually has a year left on his contract??? He can fuck right off!!

Dan Barlaser...honestly don't know. Longstaff came (very) good so maybe he's worth persevering with?

    Have I missed anyone?

It's a difficult question in some ways because you have to gauge the potential being realised.....or not, under one manager, could be realised under a different manager.

In Rafa's case it appears those he's loaned out are basically in the shop window, barring the extreme odd few, like Barlaser.....maybe.

Rafa's style of football and work rate detail will not suit a lot of players but will certainly sort the men from the boys....or sort the strong from the weak.

The way Rafa generally sets up and expects, it's certainly going to create a massive rift with some of the more skilful/flair type players who think (maybe) half a game of that is enough to carry them through the other half.
I think this is why players like Kenedy and the likes fall by the wayside.

A different manager with a different style/set up will suit some of these players and could bring them on, just as Rafa's ways can shore up a lot of the "in the trench" type players.

In a nutshell it's overall team/squad work that sees you through and some players are, or seem to be more individualistic and quickly find out that you become an outcast very quickly if you do not possess the skills of a Ronaldo/Messi or the likes.

Saivet... In many ways, I don't think he's had a proper chance here. He did score a goal and contribute with some decent performances. Didn't look completely out of depth here. I think he will leave though, and that's also fine, as long as the midfield is strengthened in the summer.

Dwight Gayle... I'd be fine with him as a backup striker, but I don't think he'd be fine with that.

Jacob Murphy.... I think he deserves another chance, he showed glimpses of talent and could improve in the future. Doesn't seem like Rafa's cup of tea though.

Rolando Aarons... I don't know much about off-field troubles, but I'd get rid. He's injury prone and hasn't performed particularly well at the clubs he's been loaned out to.

Achraf Lazaar... Big disappointment overall. Get rid.

Jack Colback... Well; he can fuck right off!!

Dan Barlaser... He's 22 years old so it's now or never. I suspect he does not have the level.

PS. I completely forgot that we had signed Antonio Barreca on loan. What happened there???

Saivet - I'm 50/50 on this one. I think he could probably still do a job here. . . however, i'm not convinced enough to keep him at the expense of a player that Rafa will be sure (if he stays) or another manager can do the job here.

Dwight Gayle - I think he's found his level, i think in the prem he has a real mental block. If baggies don't come up see if we can do a deal with him and Rondon etc. I know he's said he wants to come back but i think that would be a step backwards if at the start of next season he was our starting striker again.

Jacob Murphy - I'd keep him.

    Rolando Aarons - Get rid

    Achraf Lazaar - Get rid.

Jack Colback - Get rid. Forest allegedly want him so let sell him and get him off the wage bill.

Dan Barlaser - I suspect he won't make it here also but i'd be happy to keep him around the first team and see how he goes then lose for a free next summer personally.
