Thread: " you big girl's blouse !"

    " you big girl's blouse !"

The bloke 4 rows in front of me shouts it at every match to either a player rolling about on the floor feigning injury or players getting mardy with the ref.

The woman 2 rows in front, (social-worker type, wooden earrings etc) has started shouting at him to stop the ***ist comments.

I bumped into her in town this morning. She told me that she has told him face to face that if he repeats it next season, she will report him to the club.

Just wondering what your opinion was on this, is it ***ist or not?

p.s He also shouts out "get up yer big jesse".....I don't understand the origins of this comment. Is this also ***ist?

The origins of the saying you quote is that these words were uttered by Robert Newton Ford shortly after he had shot Jesse James in the back. It is believed that Ford later reported James to the local sheriff for "simulation".

You don't see many nipple piercings at football matches.

Ah yes, something else for the "ism" brigade to complain about. What shallow, miserable lives they must lead.

I once worked with such a person.

He went on loads of protests, anti-fracking, anti-this, anti-that, a fully paid up professional moaner, quick to criticise but slow to suggest alternatives.

Eventually the company sacked him after he threw one too many sickies and was spotted on the front row of a greenpeace demo in central London. Too thick to realise it was going to be on the tv news. He even tried to say it wasn’t him but his brother, which might have worked if he had a brother.
