If fans don’t back the team and board after they’ve showing this level of commitment then I don’t know what it will take

No sure it will make much difference to your average fan if WGS duties are mainly or solely the young players.

I'd like to hear some details though.

How about a goalkeeper a centre half a playmaker and a striker that scores goals

This to me seems somewhat pointless other than getting a bit of publicity and raising the profile. Nelms had said prior the last game of the season that the young players in the squad were the first fruits of FPS's plans for youth, brewing since 2013. Now Strachan has a so-called blank canvas. Doesn't add up.

Agree that this appointment has been getting publicity and is raising the profile of the club. That's a terrific step forward and answers a lot of the criticism levelled at FPS. Seems to me if you can point to some players coming through the system at the end of last season, that's true, and if you want to attract someone of the stature of Gordon Strachan you need to make sure that he is given the opportunity to deliver the vision that he has for youth coaching. If the objective is to produce youth players who are capable of going on the become full time professional players I really don't see any flaw in the approach. Makes sense to me.

Some people are never happy, always looking for a reason to criticise the club
