Martin O' Neill sacked after player revolt

Up the workers and all that but players have far too much power now, seems no-one can put them in their place.

    No surprises there
Forest appear to be regressing under him and they were ineffective and lacking direction when we played them scythe NYS.

Player revolt? He was replaced immediately, suggesting some thought process and interviewing had been going on for a while....

They probably thought he was aloof - conceited and arrogant....because he expected more of the team - and they wouldn't or couldn't live up to expectations of someone who knew better. Great manager but Villa always said he threw money around. I was looking forward to attractive football from them this season too.

I think player complaints over a manager is a disgrace and the ringleaders need shipping out. It shows that the club / board is weak and are not "football" people.

Shocking from a club of Forest's calibre - I wonder what Cloughie would do - it would makes Fergies hairdryer treatment like handbags at 10 paces.

I thought we took their bad eggs with Collins and Halford.

A bit of a Stallinist regarding player revolts....they need a big mirror to look at themselves. But the board has to back the manager every time or the players are running the club.....how will discipline work after a player revolt.

At the core of every revolt are the players NOT up for the challenge - the "unfancied" ones that end up with the extended contracts get the most out of rubbishing the manager....just a cover up for where the real axe should fall.
