...... how children were so abused, both in children's homes and in foster care. Surely in these establishments there were individuals who weren't a part of this abhorant practice and who could have 'spilled the beans'. If they did and were not taken notice of by the authorities, what an enditement on our society and why weren't they listened to. It makes me so angry that the very people who were supposed to be protecting these youngsters were actually abusing them. I was always of the opinion that these sick individuals were a tiny proportion of our society but from what has come to light recently it looks that it is far more widespread than the rest of us are aware of. I just hope that authorities are far more diligent and root out these disgusting individuals in the future.
