Looks like Joe nuttall is leaving the club to go to Blackpool.
He was far from the best but gave it his all when he did play.
A good fit for Blackpool and should do well at that level.
Best of luck Joe.
Butterworth and possibly magloire would be best to gather experience in league one.
It's a division not miles apart from the championship and full time mens football is so beneficial to a players growth.
Yes good luck Joe
I really hope he does well. With Gallagher on board, it has become unrealistic to keep him. It definitely wouldn't be fair to simply shove him in the U-23s again. As for Butterworth, it is again probably better for him to go out on loan. He is very promising, but how much first-team football is he going to get with us, this season?
Magloire is the tricky one. He is presumably the first U-23 centre-back in line now, but if Williams returns quickly or we do get another player signed for that position, he too would be better off playing senior football on loan. (The same with Grayson?). We might be a bit stuck, though, if we get a couple of defensive injuries early on, and Williams is still out.
Does anyone know if the deadline applies to loan-deals too? I have a feeling it does, except in emergencies.
TM says he expects Nuttall to be Div 1 highest scorer and a multi million pound prem player in 2 years!
If he thinks that why didn't we keep him and loan him!?
Because its easier to say nice things once a player is leaving. I do feel he will turn out to be a very good Div1 striker. But I do think that's as far as he will ever get. Popular lad though, I think everyone really wanted him to do well, and we all wish him well, and will always watch out for how he gets on.
I will be even more excited about watching Brereton & Gallagher continue to improve. BB probably (hopefully) does have the right attributes to get all the way to the top. Which is why we paid the money. And let Nuttall leave for free.
