Thread: Bamford

    Bamford

Not one of his greatest fans from his showing last season. The dive against Villa and too often seemed anonymous in games.

Fair play to him he surprised me in the Bristol game and seemed to get better as the game wore on. he has always had a good touch but he challenged for and held up the ball quite well, ran the channels and Kallas is a strong Cb and he played well against him.

he took his goal really well and that was the sort of chance I wasn’t convinced he was great at taking.

    long may it continue

As I said in another thread, that was a snap shot(header) and I'd like to see him take a few chances where he's been left with time to think about it. A few calm finishes would seriously boost his confidence.

One swallow does not a summer make (as someone with too much time on their hands once said). Having said that; a vast improvement on last season and IMHO his best performance by far. A well taken goal, he ran much more than usual, held up the ball, indulged in minimal flouncing and even tried the odd tackle now and then. Here's hoping that he can keep it going for another 40+ games.
