    Totally agree with Bristol City.

Bristol City have circulated an email to all Championship clubs saying that they will not be kicking the ball out of play unless someone is obviously seriously injured. I fully agree with this and hope that other clubs will follow suit. I'm fed up with incidents such as a player losing possession and then going down injured in order to get play stopped. It will also cut out the time wasting as well. It should be the referee's decision whether play should be stopped or not and not the players.

    Seems fair to me.

Everyone now knows Bristol’s stance and can treat the situation accordingly.

This should be fooooking useless refs problem and should not need this email. If those w ankers concentrated on their actual job and rules in existence instead of trying to make a name for themselves by sending off players for taking a throw ins slowly, which isn't against the rules this would not be a problem.

I think we all know the clear cut situations that they may be referring to. The patently obvious cheating scams....
However, I like the idea and sense of fair play in sport in general...I am particularly thinking of some mundane looking challenges that happen only for it to escalate for the injured party....Remember the player a few years back who just collapsed...not even near the ball? I think he may have been a Spurs player? Not sure...
Head injuries can be harmless looking at first...only for a player to have a delayed reaction to it a few minutes later....
Heart conditions can happen to the most healthy among us.......
But it is a hard call for the ref...outside of the screaming obvious....

I think you're thinking of Fabrice Muamba who played for Bolton. And yes, it was against Spurs. He to all intent of purposes died for an hour or so. This is why blatant cheating like Villa did v Leeds should be stopped. Feigning head injuries etc just because you've lost possession risks life threatening cases like Muamba's being trivialised.
