OK it's Sunday Who am I?

I played 26 times for Scotland.
I'm on the radio every week because I'm an expert on everything to do with football, players, tactics and what managers should be doing to win football matches.
I have the vision of Jock Stein, and the in depth knowledge of Alex Ferguson. I also have the temper of Jim McLean and an ego like Gordon Strachan.
I tried my hand out at football management just the once and it set the club back 5 years as we were relegated playing the worst football ever seen.
But I got my old job back just the same, BBC mugs eh?

Final clue. I take credit for the signing of one of Rangers midfielders but I never mention the 58 other duffers I signed at the same time as him.
