Solihull win 4-1 away from home tonight. To be honest I'm disappointed tonight we knew they are in a bit of form & we give an early goal away get our selves back in it then defend poor.

Well we win some, we lose some! In the last 2 games, 5 goals for (good) and 5 goals against (not good). Some mentioned on the match thread that we are missing Richard Wood and some have mentioned we need a defensive coach, are they one and the same person perhaps? On a positive note it looks like Freddie is starting to earn his corn and we are still in 4th place tonight. Onward and downwards to Solihull next Monday with nothing to lose considering our cup prowess. Looks like a few tired limbs might get rested for that one.
Thoughts?

Watched this on iFollow. Excellent coverage, but replays took too long so missed live action.
Thought we did very well. Can't blame Clarke for the header (he had a good game); some might think that (with a good defensive
coach) you can prevent every goal, but really..? Ogbene looked threatening initially, then faded. And if I'm a little critical Freddie should
have had his first ever hat-trick, having missed a relatively easy chance in the first-half.
Now for the Cup. We're on our way to Wemberlee...
Still a bit raw, but overall we didn't play too bad.
The crosses coming in were defended badly, yes A Wood was needed to organise things. Again, Olly is much better going forward than defending. Jones did ok on his 'wrong' foot even though Williams had a good game.
Wiles - very frustrating - so much of our good stuff comes through him - but then he is prone to lapses. Put that down to experience.
Vassell getting back to full fitness, if he stays fit he will be a handfull this season.
Freddie did well - in the right place again for his first. Proper penalty for the second. Morris I thought had a decent game, and Oggy when he came on.
Overall, nothing too bad to report, other than really, really poor set piece deliveries.
Just setting off back.
I thought we looked better than them in terms of quality.
Wouldn’t have Williams back usual 20minute spell from him.
They have an excellent home record and we more than matched them.
We can’t keep winning away.
Freddie looks sharp and vassell if he can stay fit will be a big asset.
We were unlucky with the substitutions.
Great vocal support again.
Some of the comments on the match thread are embarrassing because we lost the usual tripe again.
4th at this stage of the season is great.
I watched it on iFollow,I thought we were the better side and a number of players looked good.Ogbene was very unlucky yet again to be booked. It was not a booking.Clarke looks a good signing,he will be a really good asset. We played the last twenty minutes with ten men when Jones went off.Overall while a disappointing result there were lots of positives and look forward to us maintaining our challenge for promotion.
For me this tweet from a Pompey fan summarises our team under Paul Warne:
Improvement and good win @pompey yet the @OfficialRUFC style and attacking performance today was more what we'd like to see from our blues. Still, good win and 3 valuable points and starting to find some direction at last. @ExpressFM. #onwards
I thought it was a great game and from the early goal until half time we were the more likely to go on and win it. Second half we both had great chances.
Playing a right back on the left makes us look disjointed but I like Jones and it was a shame to see him get stick on social media after playing out of position for so long.
I’d like to have seen Lindsay come on at half time for Barlaser and have a go at them by running them into the ground.
I don’t think Warne fancies Clarke at LB. maybe his attacking attributes outweigh his defensive ones. Same could be said for Olasunde though.
Ogbene still hasn’t convinced me yet. Drifts in and out of games and I’m yet to see him deliver a couple of early crosses to mix things up.
Deserved a draw tonight.
Midfield and attack were really good and we moved the ball very quickly which was encouraging.
Thought we should have done better for all three goals though
Their best player and MoM was their left winger Ronan Curtis who scored the first . He gave Mr Sundae a torrid time in the first half and hence the change with Jones adding a bit more experience. All of their attacking play came through him..
We seemed to run out of steam around 80 mins and didn't,t put them under enough pressure in the closing minutes.
I think the difference between two very evenly matched teams was that when we got into good positions in their box they managed to snuff it out whereas we didn't,t do it so well to them.
Pompey fans coming out of the ground who we spoke to said that was by far their toughest test at Fratton Park this season and the best standard by an away team.
They couldn't believe how much we came at them in the first half and were fearing the worst at HT.
All in all a good performance tonight and Don,t forget they are a really good side. Shame as we deserved something tonight

PS Ryan Williams is still ineffective. No real loss and we have better players now
