    Our substitution options

Great to see Bilic’s experience in maximising the bench options. Additionally, there is undoubtedly a strong potential in every position.
Hegazi for the injured Bartley, Furlong for the injured Gibbo and Edwards for Diangana were all positive options. With Barry, Krovo and Austin all sat there waiting, we are blessed. (PS Bond is no slouch I understand)
Gone are the days wherein I was nervous about who may come on !

There are 2 big differences this season first of all Bilic is prepared to use any of his subs if he feels a player is not playing well but the major difference is our squad is far more balanced this year, last season we had no right back until January no pace at all in midfield, Bilic has done really well but it certainly helps having effectively 2 players of equal standard for each position.

Good to see Hegazi come on and start hacking it anywhere.

Give me Barry’s composure on the pitch any day of the week and considering that he played in the back four for Villa early in his career I think he’s a better option than the mad Egyptian!

Comment from Bilic is that it may not be overly bad as he was not sprinting when it happened (?) but they will know more following a scan today.
