Well well, the FA have finally come down hard on a player for verbally abusing a Ref. This goes on far too much and this tool has got his just rewards....more please and let's see the game tidied up more and respect given to the person officiating a game. They've come to manage a match that paying folk want to see flow well and enjoy, not to be disrupted by the likes of this muppet.

Absolutely Brin.
Why on earth football puts up with abuse of refs is a total mystery.
There are loads of aspects of the game that can be argued about - opinions can understandable differ wildly (VAR, offside, ball to hand , hand to ball etc.) but surely cutting out this sort of crap is a no brainer. It must be the most straightforward problem to deal with.
The authorities decide what is reasonable as regards players approaching refs. For example:
Only the team captains can approach the ref and respectfully ask for an explanation of a decision, suggest he consults the assistant referee etc.
Anyone else is told "step away or get booked"
If they don't step away they get the yellow and are told to back off now or double up to a red.
Not an original idea by any means. People are always suggesting something on these lines. It would surely cut out harassment of refs at a stroke
Problem is most refs don't or can't explain there decision even to the captain. They just wave them away. I have to laugh when a player approaches the ref with both hands tucked behind there backs. It's like politicians using a knuckle to point instead of there finger
Thing is, the Respect campaign goes out of the window as soon as the players cross the white line. They don't respect anything then and will cheat, dive and feign injury to win, the FA lets them get away with it.
Now we have VAR(yawn) if the are sure a player has dived then send him off, not for "simulation" but for CHEATING, the experts always stick up for them, " well he felt contact so was entitled to go down"....bull*hit of the highest order.
