    January transfer window

We should only get players in now that can significantly improve us. A bit like when Bent signed. Benteke maybe but hes been poor since he left us? Still torn on Wez because hes getting no service but we need goals. Defence looks ok. Its a shame Milner has signed a new contract.
If we still had Abraham we would be ok.

Bongo, your post looks as desperate as the team!
I think we need to be looking at proven strikers like Maupay but maybe a prem striker. That is going to be difficult. Dare I say it but Charlie Austin looked leathal for west brom yesterday and cannot get a game. Hes been around the block and knows what its about. Could get him for arond 8 million??

Villa's approach to signings is moneyball so even if Benteke was in-form he'd be off the table Bongo.

Maybe Lewis Grabban - he did alright for us in his short time here.

Personally I think are defence has looked shocking, we’ve conceded loads. Defo need a striker though.. saying that I don’t think we’re playing to Wes strengths at all tbh

Ashley Young is leaving Manu in January. We could do with his experience.

He wouldn't come back to VP.

There are a few answers to what we need. Quite right we are conceding too many goals, we've actually scored more goals that 12 other teams. One of which being Palace, who have only scored 15 compared to our 23. They are sitting in 9th tho after only CONCEDING 19 goals compared to our 30.

So, do we need a striker or is the system actually working? El Ghazi, Trez, Grealish, Hourihane, McGinn and Douglas have all got on the score sheet.

I think the problem is the previous striker we spent 20m on was Darren Bent. Wonderful fox in the box, striker, who came in, kept us up and was brilliant until the Lerner empire fell apart and there were problems with appearance fees owed to Sunderland.

I think it needs to be mentioned that we had to buy 12 new players for this season with those who left, it takes time for a team to gel. Add to that the injuries to Heaton, Mings, Chester etc etc.

I think we will survive comfortably this season. I hope we are just about to go on a run of 4 wins. 👀👀👀

January transfer window will not be busy. We won't get a striker unless the right one comes up for the right price. Possibly Olivier Giroud

IN: mobile terrier like striker and play 2 upfront, and someone who can cross a ball, and a defensive coach.

OUT: Take your pick, except JG, SJM and Heaton.
