    Liverpool under 14’s

Not happy that they decide to send a full squad to Qatar to play in a nonentity cup whilst making life easy for Villa.

    They’re such lucky t w a t s at Villa.

Virtually a bye to a semi final.

They do seem to get the rub of the green over and over again. The first leg of the play off semi was a case in point. I can't remember seeing officiating that was so biased in modern times. It used to happen when British clubs played South American teams away from home but in the modern era?
I really hope they go down. Their next 3 games are crucial. I hope Grealish and Mcguin pull hamstrings (not career threatening but enough to put them out for a couple of months) and they have 3 players sent off. Then FFP will kick in and hopefully banish them for good

This game has totally de-valued this seasons competition having said that Liverpool should have been kicked out earlier in the competition for fielding an ineligible player.

I've pretty much turned my back on the game, bar Albion & England. The fixture should have been moved. Too many competitions around now, all there for the clubs to make more and more TV money. How much money do these people need?

Whatever money clubs get they give away to players anyway.

Chasing the minimum £130m Premier League money always seems like a “Red Herring” to me...........when your player wages go up to between £3m and £20m and a non proven Hull City striker is costing £20m and you can spend £60m£-£70m and still be as s h I t as Villa then where’s the point?

With the age of the Liverpool team they should have renamed it as the Haribo Cup!

And you can see that it is only going to get worse and quickly. UEFA proposals for more Champions League and Europa League matches from 2024 not voted through yet but it is surely only a matter of time and what compromises have to be made.

However more European matches are inevitable to satisfy the greedy top clubs in the big 5 or so leagues as well as satisfying the need of the other European leagues outside the top 5 to have access to large cash sums via these tournaments. The super rich are just getting richer and richer.

One of the proposals to balance the situation is to reduce the PL from 20 clubs but who knows where it will end in 5 years or so. Ultimately a European league most probably! Have to say I for one don’t think it will be the end of the world for clubs like us. I think a European league would be played for tv with fewer and fewer away fans (as now in places even such as Spain) and probably for the most part half empty stadiums.

The top six aren’t the top six anymore though as clubs like Arsenal are in a s h I t state.

They all remind me of Scotland and to be honest I wish they’d all f hook off to a European league and we just ignore them.

They and their fans would soon miss us more than we miss them.

I think in years to come the 'big' clubs will have a squad large enough to field teams both in the Prem and Europe on a regular basis.

Football certainly ain’t what it was. Interest has fallen away for me due to both how the game is played and how it is run.
