    Who's happy?

Ok, then....based on a comment Geordie made about most on the board being happy with the Ashley/Bruce combination, I thought I'd ask right out-who is happy with that particular combination. Not with where we are in the league, though-with the way we are being run. You can add how happy we are with Bruce into the mix too.

I'll start... I'm clearly not, otherwise I'd be going. Ashley needs to fuck off before I'll go back. We are nothing more than a huge advertising vehicle for his brands. He doesn't care about anything else and he is only interested in 17th...anything else is just a bonus; the club and Academy are plastered with no smoking signs where the crossed out cigarette has been replaced by words like 'ambition' and 'progression'. The list of his 'crimes' against our club is huge but has been done to death so i won't list them but we will be nothing until he goes.

Bruce? Well Bruce is a symptom of the Ashley disease our club is suffering from. Another poor manager in a long list of poor managers who would ordinarily be nowhere near any sort of Premier League job never mind ours. Speak to fans of any of his previous clubs and they will tell you that his football is awful and that it will inevitably end in tears. The funny thing is I actually quite like the bloke and I absolutely don't want him to fail. He deserves a lot of credit for our points total so far but you look at how we've achieved it-both in terms of how we've played style-wise and how we've scraped by in almost every win-and I'd argue that we're pretty fortunate to be where we are.

Anyhow, Bruce isn't the real problem; like I say, he's just a symptom. Until the cause of our problems is removed we will never amount to anything.

    Over to you lot.

The games I've watched remind of the season we finished 5th with another manager that should never of been associated with our club.
The results paper over the cracks of a severely depleted squad and inevitably a run of bad results will follow.
We have a multi billionaire in charge of the club that is the 19th richest in the world in the richest league but for some reason isnt allowed to grow.
Imagine if he we had proper advertising income and steady investment in the squad, the place would be buzzing.
For some though poor football but results are enough.
It will never change with Ashley there and after he gets rid if Bruce he will find another journeyman ready to never question the running of the club.

    Agreed.

    I'm not happy.

I think you can be happy when the team wins but overall it's like putting a sticking plaster on a wound that needs surgery.

Bruce, don't and didn't rate him. Fair play he's go us to 9th but I still don't rate him. He seems like a nice enough bloke and i suspect he's a good man manager but he's just the latest in the line of managers that Ashley wants at the club. Managers who are greatful to be here in the prem rather than those that will push us forward.

    So happy overall - no.

I'm not happy, wont be until Ashley is as far away from the club as possible. And for the record Zipp, you were one of those I had as not happy.
It's amazing as just on this board alone how many were unhappy in the summer but are now having a go at those still not happy. So imagine the percentage in the fanbase across the country.
We are a fickle set of supporters, nothing has changed. We are 9th through luck and having a good goalie and that's it.In my eyes Ashley bought the right club. The fans take what ever he throws at them. Those of us that dont go are criticised and frowned upon for wanting that parasite out of the club.Well the fans for now can have it,Ashley and all.

I'm not happy with Ashley but don't blame Bruce for our football.

This morning I watched us under Rafa playing away at Huddersfield,we were outplayed all game and saved time and again by Dubravka.

In the second half we broke away and Rondon scored, sound familiar.?

Cooldn't put it more succinctly than a combination of the five posts above which together have summed up the feelings I would imagine of 99% of the supporters whether they attend matches or not.

Problem is if you want to blame Rafa for the way we are still playing, then you have to concede that Bruce isn't strong enough to change it...can't have it both ways..

Pretty safe to say we're all unhappy bar one.
