as saying yesterday's performance has set the standard for the rest of the season!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It must be me but I thought on the whole we were pretty poor. Some decent football in patches but usually spoilt by an awful final ball or the wrong choice. The midfield excluding Livermore, cannot tackle and seem to try and just nip the ball off the opposition which tends to end up with the opposition player coming away with the ball. Sawyers seems to be the biggest culprit at this. Maybe I'm too critical and should cut em some slack but yesterday we played an awfully poor side yet I was nervous as hell everytime we lost the ball until the second goal went in. That aint right in my book.

Slaven only said it is the standard in terms of fighting and concentration.
I think what he is saying is that we have been on the bad run because we weren’t putting the effort in. Even the best such as Messi and Ronaldo work their socks off.
You are perfectly correct in your assessment of yesterday's game. They were my feelings exactly. I do feel that we aren't the same side without Pereira, Diangana and Gibbs and the sooner they return the better. I think that the acquisitions of Davison and the Polish lad will be of benefit as they are two decent players at Championship level. I don't think O'Shea is the answer at right back and that needs to be changed. However, it was a win and it was desperately needed, but as you say, they were poor.
One moment stands in my mind, I think it must have been the 2nd half where Livermore came flying from the middle of the park to slide tackle a Luton player near the left touchline and won the ball albeit it putting out of play. He was incensed that the other Albion players around the Luton player were just standing off letting them do what they wanted. It was great to see the determination and fight of Livermore in that moment.
