A game you wished you had been at

So we all have our favourite games we have been at
Mine the 5-1 as it was me lads first derby watching his face as the goals went in and the tears he had at the end and the toon in the evening
    Priceless

But I have two games I wish I had been at just from wha I have read or watched

The World Cup final that England one
The size of the crowd winning the joules on home turf

    The next would be

When super mac scored 5 against my beloved Cyprus

It was talked about in our village for months
We didn't have a telly in our village

So had to go to akrotiri to watch a recording several weeks later in the corporals mess

And though the squashes new the score the atmosphere was great

For Newcastle the 3-2 against Barcelona and non Newcastle would have to be Brazil 2 Italy 3 in Espana 82 one of the best ever world cup games and that Brazilian side is the best ive ever seen.

That's when Brazil was really Brazil, the epitome of the football world. They played some breathtaking stuff.

    Great idea for a thread.

Aye, the Tino vs Barca gamne was one I missed-typical!

Either of the semi-finals against Sheff Utd or Spurs as they looked mental on the telly.

Was at all of them. Never been an atmosphere in St James like that night against Barca. My mate was a massive Oasis fan and wanted me to go with him that night at the Arena. Not likely. That massive stand at Old Trafford was rocking on both them occasions, it was actually shaking. Only one I can think of I wasnt at is the Feyenoord away game when Bellamy scored. Plenty of games I wish I wasn't at mind.

Ha...yeah, fair point. Wouldn't like to think how old I'd be now, though.
