    EFL to meet this morning

According to ITK journo's, they will be postponing the league by 3 weeks with immediate effect. Premier League likely to do something similar.

UEFA meeting on Tuesday to discuss EURO 2020.

I agree with suspending it, but God knows what this does to the football calendar.

Like I said last night in my post I had heard tomorrow’s matches were to be behind closed doors so this wouldn’t surprise me.

Delaying the season by three or four months should have little effect especially as the Euros are likely to be cancelled.

If the season ends in late June for example maybe clubs will decide not to have these ridiculous pre season’s with most clubs playing ten matches from mid July to the start of the season.

If the season end in June they can give the players a proper three week holiday and then have a two to three week mini pre season and players will still be fit having finished in June.

The stupidity of all this is that most of us feel the grounds will be closed or more likely the competition delayed so why not just do it now.

I’m just about in isolation myself, self imposed and just being at home most of the time. It’s only a matter of time before this is imposed anyway so we might as well bite the bullet now.

Expert said this morning schools would have to be closed for 4 months for it to be an effective measure. He also said banning large outdoor sporting events would have little effect.

Don't shoot me I'm only the messenger.

To be honest, we all know about as much as each other on this. Unless there's a pandemic virus expert who posts on here...

We have to trust the people who are making these decisions that they are making the right ones.
