Andy Coles had so many chances - just like I remember, he was totally sh!t, needed 10 efforts to score 1 but got 20-30 chances a match.

This popped up on my Youtube feed.
Shame about the Andy Gray punditry but a full blooded battle indeed - 60 odd minutes Cole absolutely cripples the lad fleming haha

Just to see if lockdown has knacked me memory, before I watch it, was it 3-1 and Beardsley cut in from the right side of the box, did that shimmy thing with his feet and ****ted it into the top corner, Cole hit that one that went off his standing leg and we were wearing that blue away strip?
Ah, great blast from the past; cheers, man. Fairly sure I watched it upstairs in the Lonsdale.
Just watching the way we played it on the deck whilst Oldham twatted it long and the commentator calls it 'typical Newcastle'
If I'd watched that a few weeks ago I would have been gutted looking at our style of play and the players we had and thinking about the shite we have to watch now, wondering if we'd ever see the likes again.
But now.....![]()

That strip...That team....
That manager...
Those fans...
Strange highlights, mind...they missed 3 of the goals?
Yeah it's very badly edited but just smell that nostalgia!
I remember stripping off my school blaze, shirt and tie pulling that shirt on, pulling my Puma King Astros and banging in sack fulls of goals every lunch time!
The only one that would get changed to play; all those shirts made me bullet proof. I couldn't miss!
