8 team mini league to finish season

This is one of the options the EFL is considering.

It will still have complaints from those not in it, like the locals in ninth. Even the team in 11th would still think they had a chance for playoffs and have already suggested season should be ended soon.

Already said end season now as it stands now. 2 up two down not because Roth U are in 2nd position in league 1 cause there'll be no play-offs. Have to be different bottom of league one top league 2, relegated from the EFL into that from the National league to have the full quota of sides next season for the EFL. If premiership resume this season social distancing must have ended, it's a contact sport. Can't see then why crowds can't be allowed in even it means covering your face.

How it's looking to me like in Scotland you've got to have the necessary majority in a vote to end this season then you can declare premiership title winners, decide promotions & relegations. Dutch FA cancelled their leagues there was no agreement among the leagues so this season there is null & void as you were for next season.

If a decision is made to end the season now I don't think it should be deemed null and void.
Whilst in this scenario there would be no more games plus no relegation and promotion I think the records should stand.
So players like Freddie, Smudge and Dan Iv get to keep their goals scored and clean sheets as they need this for their careers.
RUFC get to keep their games won drawn and lost which helps PW,s career .
Not forgetting SWFC ,s large points deduction; I'm not really bothered if this happens to Derby, Bolton, Southend or Macclesfield.

Also the greatest comeback in FA Cup history vs Solihull cannot be erased

If the season is voided, have the teams which had points deduction actually been punished? The option is for 2 teams promoted and none relegated is not that fair either, why should teams not be relegated.

It's prob a vote sweetener. It's a way of getting the bottom teams to not disagree with how the EFL want it to go..
Take out league. If they vote to end season as it stands. Top 2 up bottom 3 down you would get a minimum of 8 teams voting against it.

If you had 3 up 3 down it would get a min of 7 teams objecting

If you have 3 up non down there's only min of 4 objecting..

True but where there is argument that the top teams shouldn't be penalised, why should teams at the bottom be rewarded, especially those which had point deductions.

If they think ours going to be a year before we can develop a vaccine (then we have to administer it). Then let's just postponed the season for a year and start again in Feb/March 2021.

If we can start sooner, they can do the cup games.

I know it,s a bit like the vultures circling on someone else's misfortune but if some teams cease to exist or go into admin. it might be less
The snouters should be bottom on minus thirty so there's one less to worry about.
Only need to finish above maybe two others. Easy. Sorted
