The paperwork on a new stadium is all but done, for a ground holding 3,100, and up to conference north and south standards. It will have training pitches, and an all weather pitch, a valuable commodity.

Its in sarf cambs, about 6 or seven miles from Uniteds ground, and it will impact on Uniteds gates. South Cambs is rich, very rich, and if money comes to them, then god knows what may happen.

In the old days, City had a massive ground in regards to size, you could build a stadium of 120,000 and still have room. City were Aston Villa to Uniteds Birmingham City, or Liverpool to Everton.

City were posh, financed by the farmers, United were the red working man, and still are. City were equal if not above the best conference teams and jockeyed for a league place. Indeed, their first attempt at league football was in the thirties, Ipswich got there first.

Don't rule out City regaining their place. United have fouled up royally, and will continue to do so. I will check it out as the yanks would say, and if the vibe is right.....If they are a proper business like football club whos only wish is to win games......then that's me won. Its not like im not a fan, I used to watch them when United were away.

Up the Lillywhites…...the football league needs another smart black and white strip.
