As well as dismantling capitalism, abolishing the police and closing all the prisons as outlined in their manifesto.
I can tell you, as a white person that supports black lives matter, that absolutely 100% no, it is not about black supremacy.

Nor have I met a single person for whom that's what its about.

Does that mean there aren't black supremacists? Of of course not. In any large groups you get small numbers of people who believe all sorts of things.

Some resources pointing the finger at 'capitalism' probably isn't the most helpful. The problem is it's not a neatly organised grouping with a clearly defined leadership and message. But the overall movement is about equality.

When have BLM mentioned equality once because I must have missed it?

And we know what it's about, "dismantling capitalism", they've hardly hidden it as it's in their manifesto.

You've somehow missed the entire origin.

The campaign started because black people do not get treated the same by the police as white people. They are campaigning for black people to be treated equally to white people.

This is pretty obvious to anyone who has even bothered to look.

Whoever happens to run Black Lives Matter UK's website made an unhelpful mention of capitalism. They are not official spokespeople for the BLM movement (it isn't mentioned on the US website which isn't really authoritative either since its more of a grass roots movement than that), so can hardly be defined as "what the campaign is about".

Just like there are many on here who do not understand irony, there are many who do not understand Context. For goodness sake some of you, start thinking before posting tired and hackneyed right wing jargon

Well here's one white bloke for dismantling capitalism cos it only works for a small perentage of the worlds population hence the need for movements that demand equality and fairness. Tell me how capitalism is fair with evidence please.

Capitalism has only been here for 4 centuries. There is no reason to suggest it has to or will carry on in to the future. Ways of running the world change they are not static. The pressing climatic crisis will force us all to think about how the world is run.

Tell ya what I'd like to put a bet on capitalism not being here in 100 years or less fortunately for you Mr Gfire you wont need to pay me out because me or thee won't be here. More disturbingly nobody will be here if capitalism doesn't go in that time...sobering thought eh?

I don't think any rational person would argue that capitalism is 'fair', but that is because life isn't 'fair'. People have different abilities and aptitudes and luck also plays a significant part in things (it certainly did in my life). What history demonstrates, however, is that capitalist economies have, in the main, delivered greater prosperity for all than the many failed attempts at socialist governance have.

Your post risks taking the thread off at a tangent, but isn't that is what is happening with the debate? That skin colour should not determine how a person is treated and the opportunities that they have in life is a basic principle that no rational person could disagree with, but that principle risks being hijacked by people with wider agendas.

Nice propaganda, but why didn't it show white working class kids ie the majority instead of middle class college kids. If that experiment had been done at Spurley Hey when I was at school not many of us with ALL our white privilege would have moved more than a couple of steps.
    Just a thought.
