    Disgusting that. He only earned his wages one season that he was here. He ought to have paid the club for the honour of being employed.

    Just proves the method in Ashley's madness bears no relationship to any rational thinking as far as football clubs go.

    What I find hilarious - or maybe I just find it tragic - is that all these less-than-impressive characters that have been involved with our club - Pardew, Bruce, Kinnear, Wise, Ashley - all get defended by the media.

    When it comes to Pardew they all queue up to mention the 5th place finish whereas they do not mention the following bad run in Europe and 16th place (!!) finish.

    Then, when we finally get a manager we think is worthy of our club in Rafa, they don't do anything except criticize him for being negative and overrated and unfairly adored.

    It's like they have to go against what the majority of the supporters feel. Shame on them.
