A Bad Time for ex-Clarets in Management

Michael Duff’s Cheltenham Town lost to Northampton in the League 2 Play offs surrendering a two goal lead from the away leg. Paul Cook’s Wigan Athletic go into administration putting their future in jeopardy and this evening Joey Barton’s Fleetwood Town have two men sent off and are beaten 1-4 at home by Wycombe in the League 1 play offs.

In the meantime Outwood, ex Claret David Lynch has been appointed player-manager at Clitheroe, and relatively at least he seems to have more money to spend than Sean. The best of last season's squad has been retained and the 7 new signings all played at a higher level last season, some of them two levels higher, which is 7 more than we'd usually sign from the divisions above.
