The higher up the League we finish the more money we receive and it is not insubstantial.
We are safe in the Prem.
We don't want to be in Europe-- in a fit.
We are down to below bare bones when defenders are playing up front and in midfield.
There is no logical driver to finish the season in a higher position then where we are. In fact lower is just fine. Who Cares?
We have injuries to first team players until the end of the season. So please tell me why we are not blooding our kids?
The seemingly logical reasons could be:-
They are not good enough to be staying at the club next year.
They will never make the step up to the first team.
Surely its not we don't want to demoralize them?
If their are good enough age isn't a barrier.
I am totally bemused and seek an explanation from those with closer contact to the action than I am.

Up until today's game there is also the point that the teams that we were playing against were involved in fighting relegation or, like Wolves, in with a chance of Europe. To field a team with lots of youngsters would have been against the spirit of the game and could have been called into question by the authorities. By fielding the teams that we have we have been fair to all concerned and we have picked up points.
Whether a few young lads get a chance today remains to be seen, however, next week we play Brighton who could well still need points from the last match to stay up.
I think it's also the case, and I stand to be corrected, that our best youngsters have been loaned out and are unavailable to us, so those in the squad at the moment are quite possibly not thought good enough to risk yet. Although that shouldn't apply to Jimmy Dunne.
As I remember it from last year the money received finishing first in the Prem compared to finishing 15 in the Prem was very little difference.
This year do not expect as much as last year as I suspect there will be limited TV revenue due to Covid.
With that in mind the trade off between gaining a couple of million this year from finishing higher compared to sustainability in the Prem pales into insignificance.
The last three/four games were free hits for our youth.
Away from classroom learning compared to on the job training.
Of course you don't play a completely raw team. We did that against Chelsea many years ago and got stung by the league even though we drew the game.
But a few youth players here and there?
Surely?
It's not the way Sean Dyche rolls.
You wanna play? You gotta earn the right to wear the shirt.
No free passes, do the work, wait your chance and take it when it comes...

That's not the case Blue, as BT says the difference depending on where you finish is 'not insubstantial'. It reduces by differing amounts from 1st position down, this is from last season,
1st £38m
5th £30m
10th £21m
15th £11m
20th £2m
The difference between 1st and 15th was £27m, just moving from 15th to 10th was worth £10m extra, we're playing for serious money in these last few games, which is why it's scandalous that the Chairman and CEO allowed the contract situation to develop as it has. It could have cost us, but fortunately, thanks to the efforts of the manager and players, we've got away with it.

On quiet reflection Hart and company were never going to be offered new deals. The Hendrick situation could and should have been headed off at the pass at Christmas time.
Hopefully lessons have been learned and I am pretty sure Dyche will not allow our seemingly hapless new CEO and frugal Board of Directors the contracts of Wood, Taylor, Tarkowski et al to flounder on the same rocks?![]()
Even after all this time BT, it seems Sean's input into the boardroom is not taken seriously, if not just completely ignored. I'm not sure why you think they'll take any more notice of him next season, I get the impression the Board think the good ship Burnley FC will continue to steam merrily along, no matter who the captain on the bridge is, as long as they're in the Boardroom. They see no icebergs, or rocks to flounder on, on the horizon.
