    More matches postponed

The midweek games involving Celtic and Aberdeen (against St Mirren and Hamilton) as well as Saturday's Celtic v Aberdeen are all postponed.

This does not bode well for the rest of the season.

May not bode well for the rest of the season .But surely an opportunity has been missed by not punishing the two clubs involved with a points deduction. That way the players involved would fully realise the consequences of their actions not only to themselves but to their clubs, teammates and fans Would have been interesting to see what would have happened if two of the lesser clubs had done this

It would be tough for them to take in their guiltless situation, but should Killie not be isolated as well?

Don't think the Scottish Government should have intervened in the way that it did today. The Aberdeen and Celtic players were very foolish and displayed poor judgement in doing what they did but why single them out? Is there evidence to suggest that the spread of Coronavirus is disproportionately down to footballers? Double standards in my view and football has been singled out as a whipping boy. As far as Aberdeen pubs are concerned, I don't think all of the punters flocking to them were footballers, unemployed, students or retired. By the law of averages, a fair number of occupations including NHS staff, care workers, teachers etc would have been represented in the now notorious queues. Flights back from Spain? Are all those returnees all in quarantine? I don't think so. Again a number of professions involved.

There's obviously a delicate balance in returning things to normal and protecting against the virus and no one in their right mind would say football is a priority. The SPFL/clubs pleaded to be brought back quickly to avoid an existential threat and got agreement based on their following strict health protocols which, so far, they have show absolutely no ability to keep. I don't know why anyone would criticise the government for football breaking the deal. A blanket ban for a few weeks would not have been outrageous, to escape with nothing but a final warning was remarkably lenient.

Some personalities in football have done it no favours at all, granted. My grouse (it is the Glorious 12th) with the Government is that it doesn't criticise rule/protocol breakers from other industries/sectors. The horrible virus doesn't differentiate between footballers, shopworkers, engineers, teachers, sales reps, nurses and bar staff. I'm sure those unfortunate enough to have caught the virus weren't in the least concerned whether they caught it from a fisherman or a footballer.

Was thr government not pretty critical of the reckless pubs in Aberdeen? And Scottish football pleaded publicly for special status, what do you expect them to say when asked about the rule-breaking?
