Hibs suggest lose points for covid violations

now there's a novel idea. something that would actually hurt all clubs fairly. Could have a graded scale like speeding points. money isn't a valid way to deliver justice. £100k fine for a big club would bankrupt a wee club. 1 point off per player involved might actrually have a benefit for society. Game still played, players still available and result stands. No gain for the innocent club who had to play the offending club, what's not to like. Clear dateline for the start of when to punishment will be dished out so that there's go phoney evidence.

Clincher argument for me, Lennon hates the idea!

Points deduction is the only fair solution for any club whose player(s) fail to observe the Covid-19 rules.
If a professional or amateur golfer commits a breach of the rules they have an extra stroke(s) added to their score.
I remember an American professional golfer who I think was Hale Irwin missed out on a tie for first place in the Open Championship as he had in a previous round received a penalty stroke for inadvertently grounding his club in a bunker.
I understand that this rule is no longer in place for amateur golfers. In my opinion this is a mistake as it now makes it too easy to get your golf ball out of a bunker which might as well be filled in and grassed over.

They won't, Govts never do but this has been the biggest overreaction since hegarty went Doon in a heap.

UK govt was holding there nerve until 1 hospital in London came close to being overun then it was basically follow the rest, Boris getting I'll compounded it.

Whether they wud have held there nerve right thru i doubt but it was holding to that point.

Still mass unemployment is always fun.

Surely a big fine or even bigger ban for player or players involved, stopping teams play was a joke, and deducting points only hurts the fans who are innocent in it all, it would also taint any other teams success

I think that the person hurting the fans is the person who did the crime. Maybe fan pressure would actually bring about change in behaviour and Attitude? I accept it will be very unpopular but for me it seems to be a punishment that is easily understood and if the offences that it would be used were clearly defined there would be little debate etc.

As Scottish football goes from one crisis to the next, the one group that is never consulted are the fans.

Which is why a discussion like this is interesting.
