It appears only a matter of time?

From media reports it would appear to be only a matter of time before Celtic make another bid to sign David Turnbull. Celtic are believed to be about to receive £4,000,000 for the sale of Rogic to a team in Qatar, which will leave them with money to spend. Wouldn’t surprise me if the make a move to sign him just before we are due to play them. Let’s hope if we are to sell Turnbull we don’t do it on the cheap due to Covid 19

Same terms a last season will do nicely.

Methinks it should be more: who paid for the treatment? Who paid for someone else to fill in the spot? Who has gained by keeping the millions in the bank since the deal fell through?
Contract was extended so its not like they can use that as a negotiation to lower the bid.
3.25m from last year should now be minimum 3.5m - 4m.
Our team is not as strong now as it was then so Turnbulls loss will have a bigger impact than previously = 4m plus add-ons.

That's insane. Who else would have covered his treatment? And until he's proved he's better than before the fee will not go up.

If they offer the same as before we should take it, if they offer less we should take our chances in January.

Thats it for me. I would expect a lowball offer of course, knowing Celtic.

David, I'm afraid, is going. We need the money - I'm just hoping that there's a bit of competition for his signature. I feel uncomfortable even talking about a likeable, loyal and talented player in this vein, but his transfer fee could make all the difference, so if we get a decent offer we need to take it.

So - potentially - we gain around £3 or 4M for another project off our Academy conveyor belt. The incoming finances likely secures us (again), for the next 5-10 years.
Be great if we can get in to see the forkin fitbaw in that period !!

If media reports are correct Celtic will table a bid for David Turnbull this week just in time to turn his head before we play them and weaken our team considerably. Hope we have the guts to demand no less than they previously offered.

I've noted my concerns about Turnbull's return to the team already - if we can bank the same deal as agreed before, make up with Polworth and go back to playing as a unit rather than building ourselves around one star, I think given our start to the season I'd call that a positive move...

Media reports suggest fee around £2,000,000 which if true is a disgrace even if add ons to apply. With the amount of players they have surprised they aren’t trying to include some of them in the deal wouldn’t put it past them
