    Fans at Parkhead?

    From the Daily Record....

Record Sport understands the champions’ showdown with the Fir Park club a week on Sunday has been pencilled in as the potential first pilot event for Scottish football as the top flight prepares to reopen its turnstiles to limited number of spectators from next month.

I wonder what criteria is to be used for this test.
Are all fans that attend to be traced for 2 weeks after the event?
That might sound over the top, understood, so exactly what makes it a meaningful test?

They will certainly have to register attendance and should they test positive later it'll mean everyone in the stadium can be contacted. But that's assuming they don't catch it and are asymptomatic.

I think the main part of the test will be how it works with getting folk in and out, how do you have catering, toilets etc. The articles suggested a test now is a good idea as the international break gives time to evaluate.

That shouldn't be that hard? The fans will no doubt come from season ticket holders and Celtic will already have their details. You could even set up an extra identity check if wanted.

I suspect that they'll need to do checks. Season tickets are regularly passed around, and there are folk who, come hell or high water, will try to get into the ground, whatever the protocols say. In truth, I'm surprised that they didn't do a try - out at a less high - profile venue. However if they can make a system work at Parkhead it should be workable at less busy grounds. If it doesn't work, keep your PPV log - in details handy for a while yet.

The biggest challenge IMO will be getting Smelltic fans to use hand sanitiser ...

The government clearly agrees, fans not allowed in.
