Had appalling luck with injuries - question for me is whether he can adapt and develop as a forward - not all good forwards need pace and physicality - can he adjust and adapt?

Is there still a future for him with us? He's been knacked for that long you would think not but the fact we still have him suggests Warne still thinks we may get him up to speed sgain. He isnt that old (28) so if we could he could be like a new signing. I do have my doubts tho.
He has a squad number as well so not totally written off by warne.

I’ve always liked Proctor and feel for him with the injuries putting him back.
If we can get him back up to speed and injury free then he’s worth being put in team
(Probably bench to start with) but I don’t know if he’s still having problems
Think the squad number and playing him in some friendlies is probably just warnes group and as one mentality, with us now back in championship I can only see him going out on loan again and his contract runs down and leaves altogether.
That game in the championship against hull season before last when he came on as a sub and scored and we almost turned a 1-3 deficit into a point he looked a player. He caused hull no end of problems and had he started we might have won that match and the rest of the season might have panned out differently.
I think there's still a championship player in him if he can stay injury free
Loan him out. We're in the championship he'll never be up to that level. He's not on his own with that.
You have to wonder what kind of player that Proctor might have made without all his injuries. I always liked his style of play and still do and what he brought to our attacking side of the game. Quick, powerful and a right handful for any defence. Shame it's turned out for him like it has.
I believe he could still offer that last 20 minute slot to carry us over the line in a game, so for me, he's a keeps for now.
You’re right Brin I remember his partnership with Keiffer Moore a few years back it was the start of the season and the pair of them were a right handful till his injury a few games in (was it Charlton memory not what it was) It would be good if he could get back to that standard but To be honest I’m not hopeful it does beg the question why we gave him such a lengthy new contract when he was injured, for now though I’d sooner hang on to him as our 4th striker until we can get this other striker we’re after then either loan him out or pay him a settlement on his contract
That first horrific injury when he looked a quality player. If I remember rightly wasn’t it our best friend Trevor the Spout reffing and didn’t give a foul and the opposition scored. No wonder we don’t like him.
