    O/T Bullworker

I found that they are still making these things. The muscle building never worked for me when I had one in the 70's

It’s funny you posted this as out of curiosity I googled these things a few weeks back. I see they’re still selling at around the 100 quid mark. I had one when i was at school but ended up joining Jim’s Gym in Lye where is stayed for many years. Didn’t Pete Shilton advertise these things or am I getting mixed up with something else?

I don't remember Shilton advertising billworkers on TV but a quick google search said that he did. I remember my dad using a chest expander which apparently were all the rage in the 60's. I also used a spring bendy bar in the 70's, but was just as rubbish

They were always being advertised in the American comics I used to collect. Batman etc. Along with Charles Atlas body building cr*p. I always wanted some of the X-ray specs thinking I would be able to see behind girls clothes The Yanks always seemed to have cool stuff for kids compared to us in the UK.
