I read somewhere that he had a large increase on his salary because of promotion.

I imagine, when we signed him he was probably on 25-30k per week in line with top earners at the club (we had just signed him for £8m) and promotion has bumped that up to 50k.

Can't see who will take him off us permanently at those wages, unless we contribute towards them.
