Great interview with a Notts legend. Especially the bit about his young son lifting his spirits during the difficult time at Carlisle and getting to see his dad score on his return to Notts.

It confirms everything I always thought about Eddy: a genuine player who gave his all in every game through the good times and the bad.

I always remember a game he played at Morecambe during the Supporters Trust era where he had been out injured some time and the defence was really struggling, but even in his first game back we immediately looked more solid. It served to prove that old adage that you only realise the true value of a player when they aren't there.
