Am I the odd one out but I feel that the media is going 'over the top' concerning the women's game? I was watching Sky Sports News today and they were discussing the up and coming Man. Utd. v Spurs game. I thought, 'Hang on a minute, that was played last week-end!' I then realised it was the women's match they were talking about. I didn't know it was on let alone have the slightest bit of interest in it. It is now often given presidence over, certainly Divs. 1 and 2 and more often than not, the Championship.
I've nothing against the women's game but it is being given far too high a profile as opposed to the interest really shown by the public. I'm sure that if you asked most female football fans they wouldn't have a clue regarding what is going on in the women's game but often have a wide knowledge regarding the men's. It's just typical of the media and their bias towards minority groups. Perhaps I'm being a reactionary but that's how I feel.
