O/T Wilder calls Fury a 'coward for trying to weasel out of a rematch'

Courtesy of the Yahoo sports page:

Tyson Fury has been accused of “trying to weasel out” of a third fight against Deontay Wilder, who has told the WBC heavyweight champion to honour a contractual agreement and settle their rivalry.

After a controversial draw in their first meeting two years ago, Fury ended Wilder’s reign as world champion with a seventh-round stoppage over the American, who had bicep surgery after the first defeat of his career in February.

It was widely anticipated the pair would complete their trilogy of fights on December 19 but Fury said he had “moved on” after claiming Wilder and his team were trying to push the contest back to next year.

Wilder has largely kept his counsel since losing to the unbeaten Fury but broke his silence on his social channels on Saturday evening. He wrote: “Fury @gypsyking101 it is time for you to be a man and honor (sic) your agreement.

“What is this b******t of you fighting Carlos Takam instead of me, you got to be kidding.

“When that fight was a draw, I told you that I would give you a rematch. You know I was offered more money to fight Joshua than I was getting to fight you. Again being a man of my word, I fought you like I said I would.

“In the rematch agreement, there was a rematch clause. Now it is time for you to be a man and honor your word, instead of trying to weasel out of our agreement.

“Scared people run but a scary man will break his contract you coward.”

Is Tyson fury running scared of Deontay Wilder? I think it's obvious that should Fury fight and lose to Wilder then his dreams are over of fighting Anthony Joshua for his titles. It is reputed that a fight between both Joshua and Fury would guarantee them both over £100,000,000 each! Now if he fights Wilder for a third time he's looking at a fraction of that kind of money, lose it and he's blown a mind blowing jackpot of a purse away.

Smart business move by Fury or as Wilder says, just a plain coward?

He needs to concentrate on what's going on down at Bramall Lane or he'll soon be looking for employment.

I don't believe anything wilder says. He was slating Joshua a few year ago for running and hiding not wanting to face him. Now he's admitted he chose fury over Joshua even though Joshua offer more money...

Indeed. It's all about hand picking your mugs to knock out only AJ got it wrong against Ruiz the first time around.

I watched the new boy on the block last night, Usyk. Again a complete mis match as Chisora failed to flatten him and having an almost 3 plus stone advantage. I feel Usyk would come unstuck against Wilder, Fury or Joshua.

Ha ha ha with what Wilder is saying. He’s also gone on record as saying Tyson tampered with the gloves to beat him, plus blames the ref and a disloyal trainer for throwing the towel in.....

Fact is Tyson absolutely battered him, a heavyweight champion going down with a body shot should keep his gob shut.

Wilder before Fury had fought absolutely no one and well and truly got his comeuppance when finally fighting a decent fighter.

As for AJ fighting Fury, I’ll have 500 with anyone that Tyson wins the bout.

    Easy money

They're talking about creating a new weight class below heavyweight now that we have giants like Fury and Joshua.

    Usyk would fight in that.
