The stage is set for Conway (arseoyle ) to sort out the governance of English football like he promised.

Just imagine if we were relegated because of this decision.

Message this decision sends art to the rest is that tha can ignore the rules and overspend by some distance by hook or by crook and get away wi it. Bent as feck. They should have been relegated last season, EFL dragging their heels and taking their 'punishment' into this season. Stinks o shyte

The EFL notes the decision taken by an Independent League Arbitration panel in respect of Sheffield Wednesday’s appeal against the findings of an Independent Disciplinary Commission in July 2020.

The Club was charged with breaching the league’s Profitability and Sustainability rules in November 2019 and found guilty, based on the fact that the Club should not have included profits from the sale of Hillsborough Stadium in the Club’s financial statements for the period ending July 2018.
    EFL Official Statement:
The independent panel has today rejected the Club’s appeal related to matters surrounding the stadium sale and on consideration of the sanction; they did not agree with the Club’s assertion that a points deduction should not have been imposed. However, they did opt to reduce the sporting punishment from 12 points to six, which will be effective immediately.

Unbelievable that statement just break the rules it’s a 6 point deduction not much of a deterrent.

It's gerrin a bit like the Wigan appeal carry on.

We need to properly target who is to blame.

The EFL imposed a 12 pt punishment.

It was the Independent Appeals Panel who reduced it to 6 pts
