    Who will be sacked first?

    Ardley or Klopp?

It would take a brave man to bet on it. The two most secure managers in English football.

Somebody claiming to be 'ITK' has claimed on twitter that Ardley has been sacked. Not going to lie i have no idea how reliable they are, i just thought i'd share it. It could be an interesting couple of hours/days.

I'd be surprised (in a pleasant way) if this was true.

I would surprised if a decision was made before the Stockport game, but I wouldn't be at all surprised if a decision was made after that game if we lost to them. If we win, then we're back in the play-off mix and one point behind Stockport, reducing the pressure a little. If we lose, then the top two teams are streaking off into the distance and we will be well off the expected pace.

If they are genuinely considering giving Ardley the push, two questions.......

    1. Are the owners in the UK? If not, they won't be able to enter the country due to 'Covid-Mink' - in which case......

    2. Would they be prepared to sack him over the phone/skype/zoom rather than in person?

I suppose in the circumstances that's what Chief Executives are for.

I take your implicit point about their fundamental decency though. I think if these owners sack a manager, it will be a carefully considered decision based on their own analysis and made as a last resort ... as opposed to a trigger-happy, emotional decision influenced by the mood of fans on social media, which you suspect was often the case under the previous two owners.

Whatever they ultimately decide to do, I think the Reedtzs' calm, understated approach to things is much more likely to serve the best long-term interests of the club.

I never got the impression that they live in Denmark - I always assumed they lived in London, to be honest. Isn’t that where the Football Radar HQ is?

Ardley wouldn’t be the first Notts manager to be sacked over the phone, would he? Wasn’t that what happened to Martin Allen and Craig Short?

Said it before, but I don’t know on what evidence anyone bases the belief that the owners won’t sack Ardley.

Although if losing to Dover, Maidenhead and Aldershot in the first 6 games isn’t enough then I’ll start to believe it myself.
