Hmmm....interesting-is it completely sold? Surprised the University have let it go.
Thing is, it's grade 2 listed so there's nothing they could do about it in terms of extending the ground.

ooh maybe they prefer private housing to host guests rather than hotels
I think grade 2 listed buildings can be delisted depending on their uniqueness, pretty sure the Odeon was to enable the wider regeneration of the area. Knowing our luck they’ll have been bought by Qatar.
Seeing as its Christmas soon here is a link.

The stadium has more chance of being pulled down than Leazes Terrace.
Yeah, definitely looks like the investors are in it for the long haul. Must’ve spent a canny sum on the purchase and refurb.
Funnily enough, much as I love our ground and would love it to be extended....I'd vote against Leazes Terrace being pulled down if it ever came to a vote (it won't)...it's a beautiful piece of architecture and our city's lost enough of that over the years.
We had a thread when the takeover looked like it was happening where the ground was extended out over Barrack Road (may even have involved turning the pitch 90 degrees) and it looked mint.
Haven't the heart to dig it out now....so near yet still so far.
One day, aye?
Shepherd was going to extend the Gallowgate over Strawberry place (traffic going under the stand) would have looked like Celtic park, but better. Fatso decided to sell the land instead.
